Women Skills Workshop 3 – Workplace wellbeing & Floristry

On the 10th of October 2023, Floristry took center stage as the new skill set imparted in this workshop, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore the world of creative expression through flowers. The captivating session, led by accomplished florist and founder of Luna and Daisy, unveiled the secrets of crafting stunning floral arrangements. Participants immersed themselves in the art of selecting, arranging, and presenting blooms, gaining not only practical skills but also a deep appreciation for the beauty of floristry. This workshop not only expanded their skillset but also ignited a newfound passion for this artistic endeavour.

 

The Muslim Women’s Welfare Association (MWWA) hosted its highly anticipated third women’s skills workshop, proudly supported by the NSW government. This event marked a significant milestone in the mission to empower migrant and CALD women, with a spotlight on workplace well-being. Sandy Aweek, an experienced manager in the field of Human Resources, delivered an insightful session on fostering well-being in the workplace. Attendees left equipped with vital strategies to create and maintain a healthy, thriving work environment, setting the stage for long-term professional success. October, celebrated globally as the month of well-being, added special resonance to the event. MWWA President Faten El-Dana OAM fittingly addressed attendees with a speech emphasizing the paramount importance of well-being for women in today’s fast-paced world.
